I absolutely adore Christmas cards in non-traditional colors. This cute little Christmoose-Moosemas stamp set, from The Rabbit Hole Designs, was an easy target for peachy pink and tourquoise. I adore the little birds on his antlers! So cute.
This card is a standard A2 size card (4.25” x 5.5”) set on a Neenah Solar White 110# base. I colored the images using Spectrum Noir Triblend markers after stamping in Memento Tuxedo Black, my go to when coloring with alcohol markers.
The background is dry embossed with the Overlapping Circles stencil. This is my favorite use of any stencil. I just love the understated texture that it adds to the background without taking away from the stamp set. So beautiful! The Rabbit Hole Designs stamps are such high quality and stamp so crisply, I really want to let the images be the focal point.
The sentiment is from the same set and stamped in Versafine Claire black ink and then heat embossed with Simon Says Stamp clear embossing powder. My absolute favorite embossing powder as it comes in “fine detail”, which makes it really easy to use and brings out the finest of details.
Everything is propped up on foam strips, because dimension is life! I am loving the Crystal Clear Foam Tape from The Rabbit Hole Designs. It comes in two widths, 12mm and 5mm. Give it a try!!
What’s your favorite type of Christmas Card??? Traditional colors or non-traditional or mix it up??? I’m all for having a little fun and color combos can change the whole feel of a card! That is why I love creating so much. It feeds the soul!
Have a wonderful 4th of July weekend! I’ll be soaking up the A/C and crafting away!
