I’m having a hard time being a self starter today. It’s a double Monday (Tuesday after a long holiday weekend) and the phone is ringing off the hook (at my “real” job, i.e. Financial Advisor). I’d rather do my “fun” job, but the clients are not letting me!!
This card is for my oldest’s 24th birthday. He is an outdoor LOVER! He can’t get enough. It’s where he finds his passion in hunting, fishing, archery, camping, etc, etc. He is an avid duck and goose hunter and therefore, this stamp set from Impression Obsession is perfection! I absolutely LOVE the silhouette scene set off by hunter orange lettering.
The card is a standard A2 4.25” x 5.5” base in Neenah Desert Storm. The images from the Cattails and Geese stamp set are stamped in Versafine Claire Nocturne ink. It stamps so crisply and perfect with one stamp application. The stamp set comes with two separate stamps. One is the cattails and the other is the geese so you could easily use independently, if desired.
The Happy Birthday sentiment is a Kristina Werner design from Simon Says Stamp called Happy Birthday Wafer Dies . I die cut it from Simon Says Stamp cardstock in Orange Peel. I often times will double or triple the die cut sentiments, but for this card, it’s a single layer.
I finished the card with little green Genial Gems from Stampin Up. It’s the perfect compliment to the scene.
Now back to my coffee. I’ll be drinking it by the gallons today. Have a wonderful week!
