I love when a sweet stamp set can be accentuated by a soft setting. This Christmas Sweets stamp set, from The Rabbit Hole Designs, deserves all sweet softness I can muster!
This card has a 5”x5” base in Very Vanilla cardstock from Stampin Up. I then layered a 4.5”x4.5” panel that I scored at .25” around all 4 edges with my Scor-Buddy (one of the MOST used tools in my craft room). The cute bunny image is stamped on Vanilla cardstock in Memento Desert Sand ink, which also softens the overall look of the image. I leave the stamps in my Misti while I color the images, using Spectrum Noir Triblend markers. When everything is colored, I re-stamp using the same Memento ink. This accentuates the stamped image without being overpowering. It still yields a nice soft, sweet look.
The eyes and nose on the bunny needed a little oomph (technical term), so I inked just those with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink. The frosting on the cake was also in need of some embellishment, so I used my red and white Gelly Roll pens to add sprinkles. It adds just the right amount of festive.
The sentiment, also on vanilla cardstock, is stamped in Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and heat embossed using Simon Says Stamp Clear embossing powder.
All layers are mounted using Scotch 3M foam tape for dimension. The final touch is adding Nuvo Drops in Red Berry. Perfection!
