Welcome friends! Happy Fall and football season and sweater weather and all things that make autumn magical! I’m ready. It’s my favorite time of year. This sweet little kitten is here to welcome in the season and The Rabbit Hole Designs has some amazing new stamps sets to make Fall even more fun!
This card is an A2 top folding card on a white card base. I started with a white card panel die cut with my favorite You’ve Been Framed Layering Dies, because they’re awesome and every card needs them! Ha ha! I blended the center of the card panel with a bit of Halloween green, Twisted Citron Distress Oxide ink.
I stamped the kitty image and some stars from the Meowgical stamp set in black on white card stock and did some simple alcohol ink coloring. I’m not the best at coloring as I do not have an art background, but I muddle along. I die cut the images using the coordinating dies and chose a scrap piece of card stock for the sentiment, which is from the same stamp set. I decided to heat emboss the sentiment in black, but also added a gold heat embossed edge around the border of the sentiment strip. You’ll have to look closely to see it.
I colored the stars with alcohol markers, but also added gold shimmer with the Tonic Shimmer pen for a little shine. Time to assemble all of this cuteness!! I like to layer the card panel with a complimentary card panel below and this time I chose a simple black card panel. Then I popped up the kitty with foam tape, as well as the sentiment strip.
Lastly, I added all those little stars around and it’s absolute purrr-fection! I love it! Can you see the gold embossed edge on the sentiment strip???!!
