Good morning and welcome back. Today I’m coming at you with a card once again utilizing cardstock scraps!! I organize my scraps by color in 4×6 photo boxes. It works well for me and has me reaching for them more often when they’re organized.

This card utilized shades of blue in coordination with The Rabbit Hole Designs Congrats Scripty 2×3 stamp set and coordinating die. These Scripty sets are the perfect size. They don’t overpower the card and can be utilized in conjunction with other images or designer printed cardstock.

I cut the scraps in 1/2 inch strips and glued them on diagonal before cutting with the die cut. So simple, fast and easy. I utilized the sentiment and the starburst from the stamp set to compliment the die cut images. I stamped in VersaMark and heat embossed using clear embossing powder from Simon Says Stamp. That way it’s a tone on tone look and lets the die cut image take center stage.

The card panel is Simon Says Stamp Seaglass die cut using the MFT Stamps Stitched Rectangles. The card base is Neenah solar white 100# cardstock cut to an A2 size (4.5 x 5.25). I added dimension to the Scripty die cut using Thin Foam mounting squares. I finished the card off using some cute faceted gems from my stash.

Such a quick, simple card but big impact and think of all the luscious color combinations you could create!!!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend! We are recovering from college visits for my youngest and I’m ready for a relaxing weekend! This is the first weekend of regular season NFL, so I know what I’ll be doing Sunday afternoon!!! Go CHIEFS!!!
