Hello friends! Today we’re going to make a card using the Spooky Sightings stamp set from The Rabbit Hole Designs. I wanted to make this a spooky setting, but it’s really hard to make this cute little pumpkin house scary!! I could’ve made the flowers gray and eery looking with a black roof. Maybe next time, as it’s just too cute!

I started by stamping the image off center and double masking. I fussy cut a mask for the pumpkin house itself and then masked a round circle for the moon. I blended the background using Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire, and Black Soot Distress Oxide inks starting closest to the stamped image and worked the darker colors out.

Once it was all blended, I spritzed the entire panel with Frozen Fog Distress Mica Stain for an ethereal nighttime look to the sky. I then removed the moon mask and replaced it with a reverse mask. The rest of the card was masked except the exposed circle. I then blended the moon in Distress Oxide Squeezed Lemonade, making the outer rim darker and working with a lighter hand toward the center.

Now, I removed both masks and did basic alcohol ink coloring on the pumpkin house. I colored this one with Spectrum Noir TriBlend Markers. I really love their color variations and blending capabilities for those, like me, that are coloring challenged!

I used a sentiment from the Meowgical stamp set and wanted to keep it simple. I heat embossed the sentiment in white and added a few clear enamel dots. I mounted the card panel on a lavender panel and then mounted on a top folding, A2 white card base with foam strips.
I would love to hear how you would make this a spooky, scary card!!! It might be fun to try! I hope you find some time to get crafty today!
Crafty hugs, LeeAnn
